FEYNLAB® Matte Ceramic — protection for matte paint

Matte and satin paint must not be polished or coated with ordinary ceramics. Protection that keeps matte matte and adds hydrophobicity. Ústí nad Labem.

Matte paint looks the way it should only until someone treats it like any other. A brush car wash or an over-polished greasy patch is enough to leave a glossy spot on the bonnet. The car gets dirty just like any other, but most regular care harms it. You want to protect it and don't know what mustn't touch the paint.

For factory matte and satin paint, there's FEYNLAB Matte Ceramic. An ordinary ceramic would level out the fine irregularities the matte finish relies on and turn it semi-gloss. Matte Ceramic covers only their peaks and leaves the dips between them free. The paint stays matte, water sheets off it in beads, and dirt sticks to it less, so washing puts less strain on the paint.

How it differs from the other lines

The other six FEYNLAB lines are made for glossy paint, from the one-year The Original Ceramic to the self-healing Self Heal Plus. On matte paint they'd change the look, and there's no going back. Matte Ceramic is the only line we apply to matte finishes. You'll find an overview of all the lines on the ceramic surface protection page.

If something goes wrong

We give a two-year warranty on the work, and the FEYNLAB manufacturer's warranty applies to the material. At warranty inspections we check how the layer is holding up and whether the matte finish has stayed matte. If anything looks off to you between them, bring the car in.

What the protection won't fix

Glossy spots already on the paint won't be returned to matte by the protection — it will only seal them in. If a clay bar or brush already took the matte finish off, only a repaint or film can help at that point. We handle matte film differently from matte paint, so tell us which one you have. Not sure? Start with paint diagnostics. Against stone chips, PPF film protects, including in a matte finish.
