Self Heal Plus self-healing paint protection

Fine wash scratches on dark paint close up under heat. A multi-layer ceramic system for glossy paint, applied at our studio in Ústí nad Labem.

Dark paint looks flawless for a moment right after washing. Then sunlight hits it from the side, and a web of fine swirls from the sponge and drying towel shows in the reflection. After a few years there are so many that the paint gets a grey haze that looks like dirt but won't wash off. You want a car where you won't have to deal with this, and you want the best FEYNLAB has to offer.

That's what FEYNLAB Self Heal Plus is for. The manufacturer calls it the flagship of its paint protection. It's a multi-layer system that, according to the manufacturer, creates one of the thickest ceramic coatings in the world, with full self-healing ability: fine scratches and wash swirls in it level out on their own with heat.

The manufacturer offers Self Heal Plus only to its partners. SEVEN Works is a certified studio and FEYNLAB installer, so you can get it here.

How it differs from the neighbouring lines

Heal Lite is also self-healing, but according to the manufacturer it has around 60% of Self Heal Plus's self-healing ability. On lighter paint, or a car you don't wash as often, it may be enough for you. Ultra V3, by contrast, is a hard, five-year layer with high chemical resistance. Wash swirls form on it, not on the paint, but they don't disappear on their own. You'll find all the lines side by side on the ceramic surface protection page.

If something goes wrong

We give a two-year warranty on the work, and the FEYNLAB manufacturer's warranty applies to the material. At warranty inspections we check how the layer is working. If anything looks off to you, bring the car in.

Where self-healing has its limits

Swirls level out once the sun warms the layer. In winter the effect is barely noticeable, and swirls stay visible until it warms up. Self-healing won't close a deep scratch or paint chipped by a stone. Stone chips are a job for PPF film, see combined protection.
