On an afternoon when the sun shines straight into the windows, it's uncomfortable to sit at the desk in the living room or the office. The screen glares, the room heats up, and the stuffiness lingers into the evening. Tint film on the glass changes how much sunlight and heat gets through, and during the day it makes it harder to see into the room from the street. We apply it to windows and glazed surfaces in houses, flats and offices.
What window film addresses
- Heat from the sun. Less solar radiation gets through the glass, so the room doesn't overheat as much in direct sun.
- Glare. Light in the room is softer, and it's easier to see at a desk or a screen.
- Daytime privacy. It's harder to see into the room from the street or from neighbours, while you can still see out just as well.
Privacy only holds, though, while it's brighter outside than inside. In the evening, once you turn the lights on, the room is visible just as it would be without the film. That's why curtains or blinds still earn their keep at night. We compare where blinds and roller shutters end and where film takes over in a separate article on heat and glare through your windows in summer.
What affects the choice of film
It depends on which way the window faces, what glass is fitted, how much daylight you want to keep in the room, and how the window should look from outside. Films differ in how much they darken, how strongly they reflect light, and whether they sit almost invisibly on the glass or give a mirror-like look from outside. With insulated double and triple glazing, we also choose the film with the glass itself in mind. That's why we assess the windows first and only then propose a specific film.
What to send with your enquiry
- which windows and glazed surfaces you want covered (windows, balcony doors, a glass wall, a skylight),
- how many there are and roughly what size,
- which way the windows face and which floor they're on,
- photos of the windows from inside and outside,
- what you want to solve: heat, glare, privacy, or several of these at once.
From the photos and measurements we'll put together a first proposal. On site we then check the type of glass, the condition of the frames and access to the windows, because a photo can't tell us that reliably. If you'd rather not write it all up, call +420 739 374 074 and we'll go through it together on the phone.
What you're paying for
- Assessment. We go through the windows, the type of glass and what's bothering you about the room, together with you.
- Film proposal. We choose the film based on the glass, orientation and what you want to achieve, and explain what it will change in the room.
- Application. We thoroughly clean the glass, apply the film, and trim it precisely to the frame.
Every job is different, so we work out the price only once we know your windows. It's affected by the glass area, the number of windows, the film chosen, and how easy the windows are to access. You'll see the price in the proposal and decide only after that.
We give a 2-year warranty on the workmanship, and the film manufacturer's warranty applies to the material. If an application defect shows up during that time, for example a lifting edge, we deal with it under warranty. Window film is applied by Lukáš Vyskočil and Sebastian Vyskočil, the same people who apply film to cars at our studio.

Tinting building windows is part of our film work. We apply window tinting for cars and de-chroming with the same care.
Tell us which windows are bothering you and why, or call +420 739 374 074. We'll prepare a proposal based on your windows.
