This covers the trim around the windows, the grille mask surround or the logo on the boot lid. Chrome doesn't suit every dark car, and some owners want the car to look more uniform. De-chroming covers these elements with film. The metal is hidden underneath, and the car itself stays unchanged — nothing is removed or repainted.

Gloss or matte
De-chroming films come in gloss and matte finishes. Gloss film reflects light much like paint. Matte film scatters the light, so the element recedes from view more. The choice depends on the car's colour and the surfaces around it. It helps to look at photos of the car and decide from those. Send us photos and we'll be glad to help you choose.
When you want to change more than the chrome
If you want a different colour for the whole car, that's no longer de-chroming but car wrap design. De-chroming can also be combined with wrapping the roof, mirrors or spoiler. Everything we cover with film is listed on the Film Work page.
What you're paying for
You're paying for the film and the labour. Each element needs to be cleaned and degreased before application, or the film won't hold. We then lay the film and pull the edge in behind the element wherever its shape allows. The amount of work depends mainly on the number of elements and their shape. A straight strip of trim is covered differently from a logo, where each letter is applied separately. If the chrome surface is damaged — a dent or a peeled layer, for example — we'll tell you in advance whether it will show through the film. If you're still weighing up whether to leave the chrome, polish it, or cover it with film, go through all three options. We'll send you a price once we know which elements you want covered.
If something goes wrong
The film is applied by Lukáš Vyskočil and Sebastian Vyskočil. We give a two-year warranty on the workmanship, the manufacturer's warranty applies to the material, and we carry out warranty checks. If the edge of the film lifts or a bubble appears underneath, get in touch and we'll take a look. The film can be removed later. If you want to go back to chrome at some point, for example before selling the car, we'll remove the film.
