Ceramic wheel protection

Brake dust and fallout rust dull wheels and ordinary washing will not take off the brown spots. Ceramic wheel protection at our studio in Ústí nad Labem.

The wheels are freshly washed, and orange spots are still there. They won't go even after a third wash, the wheel loses its shine, and on a car driven daily everything is back within a few weeks. And wheels are what everyone walking past the car sees.

Those spots are tiny particles of iron from the brake pads, baked into the wheel's surface. A regular cleaner won't take them off, because they don't sit on the surface — they sit in it. A strong acid off the shelf will dissolve them, but it also attacks the metal or the clearcoat underneath and leaves dull patches that no polishing or protection will bring back. We write more about this in our article on cleaning wheels.

FEYNLAB® Ceramic Wheel & Caliper protection is for you if your wheels keep coming back with the same problem and you don't want to scrub them every few weeks. If a proper clean a few times a year is enough for you, book a decontamination wash or a hand exterior wash. If you also want peace of mind on the tyre sidewalls, add ceramic tyre protection, and for the paint on the whole car, ceramic surface protection.

What changes on the wheel

The one-component ceramic forms a smooth, hard film on the wheel. A hot iron particle bites into it far less than it would into paint or bare metal. Most of the brake dust then stays on top and comes off with a regular wash, and decontamination is needed far less often. The protection doesn't replace washing.

If something goes wrong

We give a two-year warranty on the work itself. The material is covered by FEYNLAB's manufacturer warranty under its own terms. We check the condition of the layer at the warranty inspections. If in between those you notice dust starting to grip the wheels again, bring the car in and we'll take a look together.

The protection won't fix what's already on the wheel. Dull patches left by a strong acid will still show through it.
