Exterior Hand Wash Including Seams, Trim and Badges

The car is washed, and it still looks neglected: dirt remains in the seams and around the bodywork details. A deep clean car wash gets into the bodywork spots a regular wash can't reach, and leaves the paint exactly as it is. The interior is a separate service.

The car has just come out of a wash and looks good from a distance. But get closer and dirt remains in the corners, in the seams, and around the bodywork details. These are spots that a sponge or a jet of water can't reach during a regular wash. The panels are clean, the details aren't, so the whole car looks neglected even though it's freshly washed.

The exterior hand wash including seams, trim and badges is for you if this is what bothers you. If the car is just ordinary road dirt and needs regular upkeep, hand wash. If the paint drags under your fingers after washing, or has rust-coloured dots and dried water rings, that's a job for paint decontamination. Not sure which category your car falls into? Paint diagnostics will tell you fastest, or just send us a photo.

What you're paying for

  • Exterior wash. We wash the bodywork by hand, to remove ordinary dirt.
  • Seams, trim and badges. On top of a regular hand wash, we go through the seams between panels, around the trim and the badges, and other spots a sponge or a jet of water can't reach.
  • Removing residue. We also remove the contaminants that remain on the car after a regular wash.
  • A consistent look. The result is a car that's clean in the details too, not just on the large panels.

We don't work on the paint itself. Nothing is polished or sanded, the paint stays exactly as it was, just clean. If something else shows up under the layer of dirt, we'll tell you. Washing into the seams often reveals the surface's actual condition. Washing and surface preparation here is done by Daniel Kumšta.

What the price depends on

The price is set and changes only with the size of the car: a bigger car has more bodywork and more spots that need reaching. How much dirt has built up in the details decides the work, not the price — a car that's washed regularly has less in the seams than a car that hasn't had a proper wash in a long time. Anything that would come up on top of it is a separate step, and you approve it beforehand.

When you need something else

Detailed washing restores cleanliness, not gloss or smoothness of the paint. If fine hairline marks in the sun or dull paint bother you, light paint enhancement deals with that. Not sure if what's on the paint is contamination or a defect? Start with paint diagnostics. If the car has ceramic protection or PPF film and mainly needs regular upkeep, that's the exterior hand wash for ceramic or film.

Washing into the seams also works well as a first step before further care or protection. On a clean car, it's easier to see what the paint actually needs.

Write to us about what's left on the car after washing

Describe where dirt stays on the car after washing, and when it last had a proper wash. A photo of the detail that bothers you helps. We'll give you an approximate price range based on what we see in the photo. Want to ask something first? Call +420 739 374 074.
