Neglected Interior and Odour Cleaning

Grimy seats and carpets, a strong smell, blood, vomit or excrement? Car odour removal and neglected-interior cleaning is our most extensive interior treatment. We work out the scope from the actual condition and tell you upfront what to expect.

Sometimes it's clear the moment you open the door that ordinary cleaning won't be enough. The seats and carpets are grimy, there's a smell in the cabin, and sometimes something in the car can't just be wiped away — blood, vomit or excrement. That's how a car can look after years without care, or a used car you've just bought. Neglected interior and odour cleaning is for cases like that. It's the most extensive interior cleaning we do, and its aim is to bring the interior back to an acceptable, hygienic condition.

If stains have soaked into the fabric but the interior isn't neglected, the step below, Deep Interior Cleaning, is enough. We don't offer a higher level of interior cleaning than this. From here you can continue with protection for the materials, so the condition doesn't slip again, or with detailing, which covers the whole car including the paint.

What you're paying for

  • An assessment upfront. We work out the scope only once we've seen the interior's actual condition. We'll tell you beforehand what to expect from the cleaning.
  • Cleaning into the depth of the materials. We deal with heavily grimy fabric and carpets, dirt deep in the materials, and strong odours. We're restoring hygiene to the interior, not just its appearance.
  • A process matched to both the dirt and the material. Leather, fabric and alcantara each take different cleaning. We work so that dirt comes out of the interior instead of being pushed in deeper. We cover why a stain comes back after seat cleaning in the guide.

What the price depends on

The price is mainly decided by the extent and type of contamination. Blood or vomit is different work from dust and grime built up over years of neglect. It also depends on the size of the car and how much time the job takes. So we can only give a price once we've seen the interior, for instance in photos.

What cleaning can't undo

Cleaning removes dirt, but it doesn't repair damaged material. Worn-through leather, torn fabric, or a seat base that's gone dark and tacky after years of being oiled will still be that way after cleaning. Leather oiled that way is covered in Should You Oil a Leather Seat?. If a material is damaged, we'll tell you before we start work, so you know where you stand.

If the smell is mainly there when the fan is blowing, its source is the air conditioning, not the upholstery — cleaning and refilling the air conditioning is handled through a partner we work with, and we'll bring it up when we arrange the job. More in Your Car Smells When the Vents Blow.

So the interior doesn't get grimy again

After cleaning, you can have the materials protected with the Interior ceramic add-on to Ceramic Surface Protection. Dirt then has much less to soak into — what a ceramic layer on fabric seats can do, and where its limits are, is covered in a separate article.

Tell us what condition the interior is in

Tell us or send photos of what's in the interior and for how long it's been there. You don't need to soften anything — we'll base the process on it. You can also call +420 739 374 074.
